Store Patent Leather shoes in a safe place in their shoe bag, particularly light colored patent which can easily absorb the color of another material.
Some tips from customers on removing marks:
- Use a good quality white pencil eraser and gently rub the mark.
- If the eraser tip doesn’t work, spray a little hairspray on the mark and rub away using tissue or kitchen paper while the hairspray is still liquid. Test this on a hidden area first.
- Not for the faint-hearted: try using acetone for those very stubborn marks (eg nail varnish remover with acetone) on a Q-tip and rub this gently on the mark. This does strip out the color so is best on light-colored patent. Do a patch test on an inconspicuous area first!
