You may have noticed the images depicted in our designer are not actual photographs of the shoes. In the world of customization, it’s physically impossible for us to first manufacture and then photograph the millions of possible combinations of shoes!
For this reason, we create 3D images that closely mirror what the shoe will look like in real life. We’re pretty proud of our renders, but recognize it’s hard to replace seeing the material or shoe design up-close in person.
We also know there can be subtle differences in color depending on the device you’re using, the software you use and your screen calibration. This is true for all websites, not just our own.
If you’d like a close-up of the material the best place to start is on our Materials page. Select the color or texture of the shoe you’re after and using the magnifying glass icon to expand the image to full screen.
You may also like to purchase a set of material samples. This can be particularly helpful if you’re designing your shoes with a special event or outfit in mind.
We’re always working on improving the quality of our renders and won’t stop until it’s impossible for our customers to differentiate between a 3D render and a physical image.
